Prodigal Son the Musical

Date: February 2017

Roles: Writer, Composer

Auckland Fringe Festival 2017

This piece is an attempt to explore storytelling through rap and spoken words, supported by a live band. Whilst it presents the story in a cabaret style, the music is inspired by Broadway’s hit musical, Hamilton. The storyline is an adaptation of the well-known parable in the Bible, The Prodigal Son. It focuses on themes of second chances, the power of unconditional love and forgiveness.

"The short story is told through hip-hop with a supporting live band! For a completely new and unique experience, this is the one to watch!"
